A lovely large vintage French wooden crate used to harvest grapes and sourced from Chartéves in the Hauts-de-France region. Chartéves is a traditional winemaking village of small family run estates in the department of Aisne, situated on the rolling vine covered slopes of the Marne Valley. The village lies within the highly esteemed Champagne appellation d'origins contrôlée. The crate is strong and heavy and in overall good original condition. The faded initials of the Champagne producer are stamped on the side in the red rectangle and the Chartéves trade mark stamp can be found on one end. Great to use as storage for toys, blankets or logs.
