ORIGINAL PRINTS
The 'L'OBJET' collection is a collaboration between Owl and the Elephant and The Good Life Home. An edited range of four print designs, each hand painted at the Good Life Home Studio using ink, then Giclee printed onto Hahnemühle paper, 310gsm. Each print is individually signed by Emily Daborn. These were created as a homage to the French vintage finds that Owl & The Elephant lovingly source.
MEET THE ARTIST
Based in London, Emily Daborn has industry experience in fashion, homeware and stationery spanning over 25 years, most recently being Senior Print Designer for Home & Gift at Oliver Bonas and then Head of Print at Papier.
Having a practical artistic approach, a creative process beginning by putting pen to paper or paintbrush to canvas producing artworks which she then manipulate on computer.
Prior to Oliver Bonas, Emily had a prolific freelance career working with a wide range of high profile clients, from Habitat to The British Museum, WGSN to M&S producing prints for both Fashion and Home.
Today Emily works as a freelance artist, print designer and illustrator, working in collaborations with other designers and creators,
Away from this she takes any opportunity to visit flea markets here and abroad buying vintage pieces to sell on The Good Life Home, the business Emily runs with her husband. They sell vintage furniture and work with interior designers renewing pieces for residential projects, together with selling their own art created in their studio at home.
