A beautiful antique French Louis-Philippe mantle mirror from the early 1900s. The mirror has the typical Louis-Philippe shape, rectangular with rounded top corners. The original plaster has a faux wood effect. There are some small areas where some of the plaster has cracked or is missing (most noticably on each bottom corner) and there have been historical repairs in places, this all adds to its history! As the frame is made of resin/plaster it is a delicate piece but considering its age it is in good shape! The original mirror plate is beautifully aged with lots of foxing and black spots. It would work well in a traditional or contemporary setting, really stunning mirror!
