A beautiful antique French glazed corner cabinet with bobbin detail. The cabinet dates from the late 19th century and is in lovely original condition. The bobbin detailing is featured on the sides, inside the cabinet at the back and also has a bobbin spindle gallery rail running along the top.

Bobbin furniture experienced a big global resurgence durning the late 1800s, Woodturning on a lathe created a series of identical connected spheres or cylinders resembling a row of sewing spools or bobbins. This style remains popular today.

The cabinet has the original glass, during this period glass manufacturing left slight imperfections and ripples which catch the light as can be seen in the photos. A really stunning piece!
