This stunning large French pigeon hole cabinet came from an épicerie (grocery store) in France. The cabinet is made from two pieces, the base has fixed shelving and the top has 24 cubby holes where fruit was stored or displayed. The names of the fruits are written in felt tip on some of the cubby holes which we have left, it all adds to the history of the piece! We have given it a good clean but have left it with it's original chippy paint. It is ready to use as it is or can be re painted if preferred. It would make incredible kitchen storage or would work equally well in a commercial setting.
