These beautiful mid century triple theatre seats came from a cinema theatre in Nancy, Eastern France and date from the 1950s. The theatre was designed and built in the 1950s by the architect brother of the famous furniture designer Jean Prouvé. The chairs have plywood seats and back, the closing mechanism works well. The seats have metal feet, gold painted wooden ends and painted wooden arm rests. The wood has faded over the years and the metal feet are very rusty which is why they are in our clearance section, the seats are still solid and very much useable though. The seats need to be attached to the floor for and are unstable on their own, we have added wooden batons for stability and for transporting them. Great as extra seating that does not take up much room or perfect for the hallway.
