A beautiful antique French Louis-Philippe mantle mirror from around the 1900s. The mirror has the typical Louis-Philippe shape with rounded top corners and detail on the base as it would have been designed to sit on a fireplace mantle The frame has been painted white at some point in its life, the paint is delicate and flaking and the original finish can be seen underneath, this all adds to its charm and history.  As the frame is made of resin/plaster it is a delicate piece but considering its age it is in good shape! The original mirror plate has lots of aging, foxing and black areas.  The mirror has the original back. It would work well in a traditional or contemporary setting, really stunning mirror!
