This antique French tambour desk is just beautiful! The desk has been used for many years in an opticians workshop in Eastern France. The desk has two side tambour fronts which drop to reveal handy storage shelves. The desk has the original intricate locks and keys, these locks are very old so need some encouragement to lock each side and the left hand side doesn't lock well but the tambour front stays up, these quirks all add to its history and charm! In overall good original condition there are marks and imperfections as to be expected but nothing significant, a really special piece!
